With that, it's cider season. Valerie and Jake Scott of Duluth Cider announced via Facebook that their cidery will have its grand opening on Nov. 14 at its taproom at 2308 W. Superior St.

"It's been a long time coming and a lot of hard work," Jake Scott says in the quick-hit video that includes footage of the couple's more than 3-year route to opening day.

The Scotts have leased a 5,400-square foot space in Lincoln Park for both cider fermentation and to use as a taproom for their hard cider. They learned the business while living in Salem, Mass., then decided to bring it back to Duluth.
