The Duluth Experience is pulling back the curtain on some downtown Duluth crafters with its new walking tour of the Historic Arts & Theater District that starts Thursday.

The HART of Duluth tour starts in Canal Park but focuses on Superior Street businesses. Duluth Experience CEO Dave Grandmaison said the idea was to showcase the Lakewalk connection between downtown and the shore for visitors who may not realize it's there.

The guided tour includes interactive stops at Duluth Coffee Co., Lake Superior Art Glass, Zeitgeist and Blacklist Artisan Ales.

"It's about providing experiences that allow our guests to create a deeper connection to Duluth," Grandmaison said.

The tour is offered Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, costs $30 and takes about three and a half hours. It joins a roster of adventure, brewery and history tours offered by the company.
