The Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibit Why Treaties Matter: Self-Government in the Dakota and Ojibwe Nations opens Saturday, November 10 at 1 p.m. at The Carlton County Historical Society. This exhibit is a collaboration of the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council, the Minnesota Humanities Center, and the Smithsonian Institutions National Museum of the American Indian.
