New Life to Present Seminar on The Gospel of Jesus’ Wife

The seminar is in direct response to Harvard Divinity School Professor Karen L. King’s recent announcement of the discovery of an ancient Coptic text, which suggests that early Christians believed Jesus was married. King’s announcement has sent shockwaves throughout the Christian world. But what exactly is she talking about and can it be true? During this one-hour seminar, Pastor David Norland and participants in New Life’s Biblical Greek course will teach attendees a number of Greek characters, which are the basis of most Coptic letters in King’s discovery. The seminar will specifically search out the words “Jesus,” “Mary,” “wife,” and “disciple.” Participants will be able to discern how easy shocking claims are made on the basis of little evidence. Registration is not necessary for this special seminar. Attendees will be invited to join New Life’s Biblical Greek course, which continues throughout the fall.
